“40 years of prayers, nothing changed; we’re wiser now” – Woman berates Pastor Adeboye, urges him to stop praying for Nigeria

An abroad-based Nigerian woman ridicules the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, accusing him of dining with politicians yet urging members to pray for over 40 years for a better Nigeria.

A video making the rounds on social media captured the outpour of a woman who lampooned the senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

According to the woman, Pastor Adeboye has brainwashed his followers by urging them to put their trust in only prayers for the country while he and his family are living in wealth.

She emphasized how the preacher goes from one state house to the other in Nigeria, meeting different politicians and his impact is never felt towards the country.

She concluded by urging him never to pray for Nigeria again while referencing advanced countries who take action rather than urging citizens to pray.

Why Pastor Adeboye Should Stop Praying for Nigeria

Please stop praying for Nigeria henceforth. Stop putting fear in your followers.

  1. You said we are suffering, but neither you nor your family is suffering. Or is it your daughter who is living in a mansion in America that is suffering?
  2. The rent of your house in Mount Camel was N20K years ago; you have a lot of people giving you money and you even have a private jet. Henceforth, say Nigerians and your followers are suffering but not you.
  3. You’ve been praying this prayer for over 40 years and it is yet to be answered. You’re refusing to say the truth.
  4. You said we offended God but for 40 years that you’ve been praying this prayer, He is yet to tell you our offence.
  5. You’re directly saying God is punishing us because we are guilty of sins but you’re wrong. Our leaders are the ones doing this to us, face them. As an old man who is close to the grave, you should not be afraid to say the truth by now.
  6. Is it grace they used to structure America, the UK, Canada, and other advanced countries? The same goes for African countries like Rwanda and South Africa. Please stop praying for Nigeria again. Our eyes are open now, stop praying for Nigeria!
  7. You said God should save us from oppressors, the same oppressors you feed from. You visit all state houses, to all governors, and down to traditional rulers. You know them all and have never spoken against their doings.
  8. We applauded you when you bought companies and converted them to churches, rendering people jobless. We didn’t know the harm it would cause us.
  9. You have once been accused of laundering money for these politicians and you never addressed the issue.
  10. You said we are not making God happy, hence the punishment, how about thriving countries known for Sodom and Gomorrah practices that we are all running to, including your daughter who lives there?
  11. Is it God’s mercy that fixed war-affected countries? No! They have good government and that’s why they rebuild every time they are affected.
  12. The schools you own are not affordable for common people. As a middle-class citizen, I attended your school and still couldn’t cope with the bills. You have done nothing for common people; stop praying for Nigeria. We don’t need your prayers; our eyes are opened now, prayers do nothing, actions do!
  13. You and the politicians are dining together and you only spoke up because offerings and tithes aren’t flowing in your church like before.
  14. We’ve been praying this prayer forever and nothing has changed; stop praying for Nigeria! Continue drinking your tea with God, leave us alone.
  15. All your state house visits have been unproductive or what exactly do you go there to do? How many times have you heard, “Pray for America?”. Israel is in conflict, why aren’t they using prayers to end the war? Stop lying to us like you do with your brainwashed followers. Continue drinking your tea with both God and politicians and leave us alone.”
