Davido fires back after being criticized for halting plans to help female hawker who turned out to be a man

Singer, Davido has reacted after being criticized for stopping plans to help a female hawker whom Brain Jotter helped, but was later found to be a scammer who disguises as a female.

Some days ago, it was reported that the popular skit maker, Brain Jotter discovered a lady by the roadside hawking. This ‘female’ hawker had been disabled, with some fingers lost and stunted arms.

Touched by ‘her’ situation and her relentless spirit to help herself out, Brain Jotter made a video of her and also gifted her 400 thousand naira.

Consequently, Davido came across the video and pledged to help her after finding out that she hails from Osun state, where his uncle is a governor.

However, in a shocking turn of events, it was discovered that this female hawker is actually a guy called Sultan who hails from Osogbo. It was learned the young man had been helped off the street several times but keeps return to the roadside.

Upon this discovery, Davido cried out on social media, calling for halt on plans to help the said hawker/scammer.

“Excellency dem job us !! Dem say nah man ABORT MISSION 😂😂,” he had written.

However, Some social media users wondered why he has chosen not to help, when in reality, the hawker is indeed disabled and needs help.

One netizen, Abiodu. A Adeleke wrote:

“Na Man, does that change anything tho? He is from Osun, he is challenged and d!sabled, he needs all the help he can get, he is deserves a good life too!! He needs help!! Unless you and your uncle are clout chasers!!! The boy needs help!!!”

Davido asked the netizen to help the boy himself since he shares the Adeleke surname.

“U get money na .. ur last name nah ‘Adeleke’.. go help am ..,” he wrote.
