Vinicius Jr signs new contract at Real Madrid until 2027 with €1b release clause
Real Madrid has officially confirmed that Vinicius Jr has signed a new contract with the club until June 2027.
The new contract was signed in 2022, but it was only formally completed on Tuesday.
The Brazilian forward extended his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu hours after he was awarded the Socrates prize at the Ballon d’Or awards on monday night.
The new contract includes a release clause of €1 billion, which reportedly, will also be included in the contracts of Fede Valverde, Camavinga, and Rodrygo.
The primary purpose is to distance clubs who might pick interests in these players in the nearest future, before the end of their contracts.
Vinicius Jr has been in excellent form since joining Real Madrid, and has assisted new signee Jude Bellingham in his many goals for the club this season.
