EPL: I don’t expect him back soon – Ten Hag on Luke Shaw
Ten Hag confirmed that Luke Shaw is not expected to return in the club's next few games.
Erik Ten Hag has hinted that Luke Shaw will not be in action for Manchester United’s upcoming block of games.
The Red Devils manager revealed this in an exclusive interview ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Sheffield United scheduled for Saturday.
In the interview, Ten Hag spoke about the club’s preparation ahead of the match and provided updates on some of his players.
Ten Hag confirmed that Luke Shaw is not expected to return in the club’s next few games. However, he mentioned that Raphael Varane and Sergio Reguilon are back in the team, while confirming that Sofyan Amrabat is also available for selection.
Regarding Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ten Hag said that he is not too far away from returning to team’s training and will be back soon.
“Luke Shaw, I don’t expect him back in this block of games. Varane is back, same for Sergio Reguilon – Amrabat is also available”.
“Wan-Bissaka, he’s not too far away from returning into team training,” Ten Hag added.
Manchester United have had a dismal start to the season, having won four and lost four of their eight Premier League matches.
Recall they are also bottom of their Champions League group. However, they are set to return to action after the international break, with the hopes of securing a second successive victory against Sheffield today, after Scott McTominay’s injury-time winner against Brentford in their last EPL game.
