Super Eagles suffer late equalizer in friendly against Saudi Arabia

The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a late equalizer in their Friday international friendly match against Saudi Arabia In Portugal.

Jose Peseiro’s men were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw after a late goal from Saudi’s Mohamed Kanno In the added time.

However, the lead was short-lived as Saudi Arabia managed to equalize with a late free-kick almost at fulltime, bringing the match to a sad 2-2 for the Nigerian team.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will on Monday, October 16, take on Mozambique, in another friendly, to complete their time in Portugal.

These friendly games serve as part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
