EPL: Bukayo Saka may not feature in Manchester City clash – Mikel Arteta
Bukayo Saka’s availability for Arsenal’s upcoming match against Manchester City remains uncertain due to a suspected groin injury.
Saka sustained the injury during Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Lens on Tuesday.
The England international who has been struggling with fitness concerns in recent weeks, was forced to leave the field after playing for just about 30 minutes in the midweek match against the French side.
Although the young talent has been called up to the latest England squad, his participation in the Sunday match against City is in question.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta addressed Saka’s status in a pre-match press conference, saying, “He is in contention. Let’s see how he progresses from here to Sunday. He had to leave the pitch, and that’s never good news. Let’s see how he recovers.”
However, Arteta did not provide specific details about the nature of Saka’s injury. He said the health experts in the team will determine that.
Bukayo Saka has been a crucial player for Arsenal this season, having featured in 10 matches, contributing five goals and five assists.
