You won’t find your path if you leave – De Laurentiis warns Osimhen
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned that no player leaves the club and find their path, amidst Victor Osimhen’s contract talks.
Addressing the status of Victor Osimhen’s contract extension talks after Napoli’s 3-2 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League, De Laurentiis told Spanish TV program El Chiringuito that he believes the player will sign the deal.
“New contract? Yes, there is no problem. Everyone is always happy at Napoli.
“Osimhen is always strong, there are no doubts about him,” he added when asked about the Nigerian striker’s performance against Real Madrid.
However, De Laurentiis also issued a warning to players considering leaving Napoli, stating, “It’s their (players’) problem when they leave because they no longer find their path.”
Osimhen’s contract extension has been a topic of wide discussion for several months now, with negotiations with the club still ongoing.
Recall that his current contract with the Naples club will expire in June 2025. Osimhen came to the spotlight recently when his agent, Roberto Calenda, threatened legal action against Napoli due to a TikTok video that appeared to mock the player for missing a penalty against Bologna.
