Fisherman catches ‘shark’ in Bayelsa, butchers it; Photos cause buzz
A local fisherman from the Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State caught and subsequently butchered a large shark near Akassa community.

The news of the shark’s capture and killing first surfaced on various social media platforms, as eyewitnesses and concerned individuals expressed their dismay over the event.
One user said; “A fisherman hailing from Brass local government area of Bayelsa State killed a Shark this morning at Akassa community.”
Another user emphasized the need to protect aquatic life.
He wrote;
“LET’S PRESERVE OUR BLUE ECONOMY! AT MINIBIE, SOMEONE KILLED A BIG SHARK THIS MORNING AT AKASSA, BRASS L.G.A OF BAYELSA STATE. SAVE AQUATIC LIFE FROM DANGER.”
