Jeff Cook Early Life

Jeffery Alan Cook, popularly known as Jeff Cook, was born on August 27, 1949, in the neighbourhood of Fort Payne, Alabama.

Jeff is of Native American/ English descent with two siblings, David and Crystal Cook. Jeff Cook’s father is James, who managed a bus corridor shop while his mama, Betty, worked as his partner.

Jeff learned the piano and guitar at just the age of 13. He loved music, specifically Country music, and got a radio broadcasting license just a time latterly.

He attended Fort Payne’s High School, where he grew up, and proceeded to the Gadsden State Community College to study Electronics technology. Jeff also attended Jacksonville State University.

Career

Jeff Cook’s career started after his high school involvement with the Wildcountry group in 1972.

Heco founded the group with his relatives, Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry.

The triad graduated but was in touch as both of Jeff’s relatives went to study full-time music.

Jeff Cook and his relatives came together to regroup and produced their first song, “ Wild Country ”, in 1976 under some small independent records.

They latterly rebranded just a time later and became Alabama Group.  The group’s alternate song, Deuces Wild, was also released in 1977, making them relatively popular.

But the success of their musical career became known in the 1980s when they linked with RCA Records and produced songs like “My Home’s in Alabama ” in 1980, 40- Hour Week” in 1985, and  “Southern Star” in 1989.

The 1980 classic was their first Top 40 Country music hit song.

Their songs became famous and gained millions of streams. Also, Jeff Cook was a 2 time Grammy Award winner

Death

It all happened on April 11, 2017, when it was announced that Jeff Cook had been managing Parkinson’s disease since 2013.

At then, the Alabama group resumed their music tour but unfortunately, Jeff couldn’t keep up again.

The disease worsened and Jeff died in his Florida home on November 7, 2022.

Jeff Cook was survived by his wife, Lisa Wiliams, his daughter, mother, and two siblings.

Jeff Cook got married to Lisa on June 9, 1995. Their union is blessed with a daughter whose name remains unknown.
