“My wife chose my ‘broke’ self over rich suitors, now we’re making money together” – Businessman [Audio]
A Ghanaian man, Nana, has opined that a relationship founded on love would outlast that which is founded on money.
The man made the assertion while making his opinion known during a radio program on money, love and relationships.
According to Nana, love is the ultimate binding force in relationships and when it doesn’t exist, the relationship is bound to crash eventually.
He utilized himself as an example as he noted that his wife had many well-established suitors, but she chose him who was just starting out in life.
Mr Nana admitted that at the outset of their relationship, they had struggled a bit, but they’re now financially stable and are making lots of money.
He emphasized that, although money is very important in relationships, it shouldn’t be a basis on which it is built.
Nana said…
“When I met my partner, she was being chased by people who were established. I had nothing at the time; she was just suffering like this like myself. We loved each other.
“Today, the money we are making is only enhancing the love that we had. It didn’t buy us any love, it didn’t buy us any happiness, it only makes it sweeter, I guess. So, love anytime, any day.
If that [money], is the reason alone for you to be in a relationship with somebody, then it’s a recipe for disaster if you ask me.”
