South Africa’s Kellerman, Selaocoe are guests on Glo-sponsored African Voices

South African duo of Wouter Kellerman and Abel Selaocoe are guests on this weekend’s edition of CNN African Voices Changemakers, sponsored by telecommunications operator, Globacom.

The programme, which profiles change agents contributing to the development of the continent, is scheduled to air this Saturday at 12.30 p.m. on DSTV channel 401with repeat broadcasts on Sunday at 4.30 a.m. and at 7.00 p.m.

A renowned artiste, Wouter Kellerman is a Grammy award-winning flutist, producer and composer who has also won eight South African Music Awards.

Using his classical training as a foundation, Kellerman focuses his attention on World and Roots music, exploring the versatility of the instrument and fusing classical and contemporary sounds.

His classical music remains an inspiration to the next generation of performers in Africa.

The second guest, Cellist Abel Selaocoe, is a multi-talented, award-winning musician and innovator whose music has continued to receive global recognition.

He is as comfortable performing a classical concerto as he is on improvised jazz.

Selaocoe studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in the UK, graduating in 2018. Since then he has explored many avenues of music-making, performing in concert in the UK and in South Africa.

An interesting time await viewers during the 30-minute magazine programme, Globacom said.
