SPL: Sadio Mane joins Ronaldo at Al Nassr, to earn £650,000 weekly
Senegalese football star, Sadio Mane has joined Saudi Pro League club, Al Nassr, after a disappointing season at Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich.
Sky Sports reported that Mane joined Al Nassr in a £24 million deal after one year at Bayern. The 31-year-old agreed to a four-year stay in the Gulf nation, where he will earn £34m-per-season tax-free.
Should the deal with Al Nassr run till 2027 as stated in the contract, Sadio Mane will be earning a staggering £136m. He will be taking home £650,000-a-week, which works out to £2.6m-per-month.
To break that down even further, the former Southampton winger will be earning around £93k-per-day, £3.9k-per-hour and £65 every minute.
The Senegalese football star won the Champions League and Premier League in six seasons with Liverpool and was a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s devastating front three with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
When Liverpool won their first English league title in 30 years during the pandemic-disrupted 2019-2020 season, Mane scored 18 goals.
But in the summer of 2022, Mane decided he wanted a new challenge, unconfirmed rumours said he was tired of sharing the limelight with Egypt’s Salah at Anfield. He moved on to Bayern last year with high hopes after netting 120 goals in 269 games for Liverpool.
He however, failed to make the same impression at Bayern, where he fell out with teammate Leroy Sane and hit the German winger; an offence for which he was fined and suspended.
He has also moved on from the German club and will now be linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo at the Riyadh-based Al Nassr.
Since signing Ronaldo in the winter, the club have remained busy in the transfer market this summer. Mane is the fourth high profile player to make the switch from Europe in recent weeks, following in the footsteps of Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana, and Alex Telles.
