“The youths should be patient; you will get loans from Microfinance banks” – President Tinubu
The president of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has asked the youths to be patient as he works towards providing solutions to the economic crisis.
President Tinubu has urged the youths in Nigeria to have patience and understanding while enduring the hardship brought on by his economic and monetary policies.
At a meeting with national youth leaders from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the All Progressives Congress on Thursday in Abuja, Mr. Tinubu provided the assurance.
The president assured the youths that his administration would involve them in governance and decision-making processes and promised that no choice would be too difficult for my administration to make for the prosperity and unity of the country.
In his words;
“I make my pledge to the country that no decision will be difficult for this administration to take for the prosperity and unity of this country. Economic reforms could be slow. Be patient a little more,” stated Mr Tinubu. “I can assure you that I understand the pains you are going through. It is not easy to get out of the monster of over 40 years called fuel subsidy.’’
Mr. Tinubu made it clear that his administration would take all necessary steps to open up the net and allow more women and young people to participate. He claims that one way to accomplish this will be by “liaising with our lending institutions to give micro-loans at a very low-interest rate” for economic activities among the populace.
According to Abdullahi Israel, the national youth leader of the APC, the purpose of the visit was to congratulate the president on the party’s victory in the 2023 elections.
Mr. Israel urged the president to appoint them to the disbanded boards and agencies of government while assuring him of their continued support.
