Female pilot and husband get beaten by angry relatives for assaulting 10-year-old housemaid (Video)
In India, a man and his pilot wife became the recipients of serious beating from angry relatives for assaulting a 10-year-old girl they had kept as their maid.
It was learned that the woman, Poornima Bagchi aged 33, and her husband Kaushik, 36, had supposedly employed the little girl as their housemaid at their residence in the Dwarka area of Delhi, India.
However, two months of staying with the couple, relatives of the little girl charged to the couple’s house, alleging that they had physically assaulted the girl.
A video making the rounds on social media shows the couple receiving the beating of their lives in the public from the relatives.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in Dwarka, Harsha M Vardhan stated:
“At around 9am, we received a call about a child being mistreated by her employers.
“It was found that a 10-year-old girl has been employed as a domestic help at a house for two months. The couple were beating her and harassing her. This was noticed by the minor’s relative Wednesday.
“The accused have been detained. Arrest proceedings are being carried out. The minor has recorded her statement with the counsellor. We are looking into all the allegations”
The Policeman also stated that they’d take action against the mob who had assaulted the couple.
