Burna Boy responds to being called ‘New Cat’ (Video)
Multiple Award-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy finally breaks his silence after being referred to as a new cat in the music industry.
Gistreel recalls that a month ago, a “new-cats vs old-cats” beef had begun after Davido made a statement which categorized Burna Boy, amongst others, as being relatively new in the industry.
Weeks later, in a recent chat with Apple Music’s Ebro, Burna Boy fielded a question regarding the matter.
Odogwu, as he is fondly called, said that he is not bothered by the misconception of being thought by his colleague as being new in the music industry.
According to him, such words only serve to make him feel younger and to spur him to want to do more.
Burna Boy said;
“It is a good thing that people think my movement is new. I love that. Because it keeps me young. It means like, I can do so much more, you know. It stretches my life span.
I’m living longer than I thought I would than I even planned to, you know.”
