Speculations as Headies snub Wizkid for the first time in 12 years
Famous Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid fails to get a nomination at the 2023 Headies Awards for the first time since 2011.
It is worth noting that the Headies Awards rolled out the nominees for the 2023 edition of the award event on the 12th of July.
Oxlade, Asake, Odumodublvck, Spyro, Bnxn and many others were nominated in different categories for the upcoming event except Wizkid.
Despite not being nominated this year, Wizkid, however, has the highest number of awards from the organizers. A total of 20 Headies awards over the years of his booming music career.
Fans and music lovers all over Nigeria have dropped their take on the controversy trailing the organizers of the event.
