“I had to look up Burna Boy and Rema when my daughter mentioned their names to me” – Bill Gates
Popular billionaire, Bill Gates, has sparked a controversy online with his recent comments about artistes Burna Boy and Rema.
The billionaire who recently paid a visit to Nigeria shared his reaction after his daughter said he would get to meet Rema and Burna Boy in Nigeria.
According to Bill, his daughter Phoebe heard that he was coming to Nigeria and she informed him about how lucky he was to be able to meet Rema and Burna Boy.
Bill Gates however said he had to look up the names of the artistes as he didn’t know them before his daughter mentioned them.
According to Bill, he was only able to watch Davido and Wizkid perform live the last time he came over to Nigeria.
In his words:
“When my daughter Phoebe heard I was coming to Nigeria, she said, “You’re lucky because you get to see Burna Boy and Rema, so I had to look them up…because I’m so ‘hip’. But I remember the last time I was here, I got to see Davido & Wizkid perform.”
His revelation has however sparked a debate online and also ignited the viral conversation about old and new cats in the music industry.
