BREAKING: Tallest man in Nigeria, Afeez Agoro, dies at 48
Nigeria’s tallest man, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, has died at the age of 48 after suffering from prolonged sickness.
The popular reality TV star and actor, widely recognised as the tallest man in Nigeria who stood 7 ft 4 had reportedly been ill for months due to a reported battle with chronic hip arthritis.
It was gathered that he was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, yesterday evening, June 14, after he developed some complications weeks after he sought financial help in order to undergo surgery.
He died around 7:30pm last night.
It was also confirmed that his burial arrangement commenced at his residence in Community Road, Akoka.
His last post on Facebook was on May 28 after he recovered from a hip replacement.
He posted: “Thank God Almighty for a successful operation now it’s time for therapy.”
GistReel reports that Agoro had cried for financial help to undergo surgery due to Chronic hip arthritis.
Appealing for help, the tallest man in Nigeria said he needs to undergo an operation to replace his hip’s ball and socket joints.
He was seen in a viral video shared by King Tunde Ednut on his official Instagram Page.
The post reads; “APPEAL FOR HELP!!! Afeez Oladimeji Agoro, aka Tallest Man in Nigeria, is down and needs to undergo an operation to replace his hip’s ball and socket joints for the giant to walk again.
