Dele Alake debunks Femi Fani-Kayode’s claim of being appointed Tinubu’s spokesperson

Former Lagos commissioner of information and strategy, Dele Alake has debunked the report of being appointed as President Bola Tinubu’s spokesperson.

Shortly after the inauguration on Monday, May 29, Femi Fani-Kayode. a former Minister of Aviation who also served in the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council took to Twitter to congratulate Alake over the now-debunked appointment. 

He had tweeted;

“Congrats to my friend and brother Dele Alake for being appointed as Presidential Spokesman. He will do an excellent job and I am very proud of him”

However, Dele Alake, who was the former Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign has said that news of his appointment as Tinubu’s spokesperson is fake.

“It was fake news. I’m always surprised when news people failed to recognise fake unsigned stories,” he said.
