Kenny Blaq refuses to lodge in hotel over portrait of Buhari hanging on wall (Video)
Renowned Nigerian comedian Kenny Blaq found himself in the midst of controversy during a recent visit to a hotel on the day of President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration.
The comedian’s visit took an unexpected turn when he noticed a photograph of the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, still prominently displayed on the hotel’s reception wall.
Kenny Blaq had initially intended to book a room at the hotel but was taken aback by the presence of the previous president’s portrait.
Expressing his surprise and disappointment.
He said;
“Na Buhari still be president for here oh, ahn ahn.. we can’t afford it.”
His comment alluded to the fact that the hotel’s failure to replace the portrait with that of President Tinubu suggested a lack of readiness for the new era.
In a video capturing the incident, the receptionist and another staff member can be seen and heard attempting to assuage Kenny Blaq’s concerns.
They apologized for the oversight and assured him that they were in the process of replacing the portrait with one of President Tinubu.
