“I thought I was going to be Gift” – Bimbo Ademoye speaks on role in ‘Gangs of lagos’

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye, recently shared her thoughts on her role in the newly released Nollywood movie, ‘Gangs of Lagos‘.

Ademoye expressed her excitement upon receiving the script for the film, especially since she had previously worked with the producer on the movie, “Sugar Rush,” which she found to be an incredible experience.

As a result of this, she delayed reading the script, believing that the film would be amazing.

However, after eventually reading the script, Ademoye discovered that she had been cast as Teni, a character she did not expect.

Initially, Ademoye thought she would play Gift, as she could relate to that character very well. She double-checked the names and cast for each character to ensure that there was no mistake.

She further made some calls to confirm the casting, but she was assured that it was correct.

The producers informed her that, since people would expect her to play a role like Gift, they decided to give her a different role that fans would least expect her to play.

Ademoye, therefore, took on the challenge, portraying Teni’s character to the best of her ability.
