Ronaldo tears up as Morocco kicks Portugal out of World Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo was reduced to tears as Morocco delivers a 1-0 win over Portugal in the quarterfinal of the FIFA World Cup 2022 to book their place in the last four of the tournament.

Ronaldo, whose effort has been significant in five different editions of the World Cup, scoring in each; however, lost it following a defeat at the biggest competition in the world.

The 37-year-old was introduced early in the second half as Portugal struggled to level up the game with tension.

The team however lost to Morocco leaving Cristiano Ronaldo with retirement plans from international football following his 196th appearance for his country.
