Super Eagles assistant coach Finidi George lobbying for Pepe’s jersey with Moses Simon after Nigeria’s 4-0 defeat to Portugal (Video)
A dramatic scene played out after Nigeria’s humiliating 4-0 loss to Portugal in a World Cup warm-up on Thursday, November 17.
Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George was spotted in a viral video lobbying for Portuguese defender, Pepe’s jersey with Moses Simon after Nigeria’s 4-0 defeat to Portugal.
Simon and Pepe were about to exchange their jerseys before George stepped in and asked that he gets the Portuguese superstar’s jersey instead.
Although they were inaudible, George was clearly not pleased that Simon beat him to the jersey. The players, however, ended up having their jersey swapped and walked away.
The incident has left several Nigeria fans castigating FInidi, with some describing his actions as petty and unacceptable.
