Wife files divorce over husband’s career as ‘mechanic’ after being sponsored abroad

Newly wed husband is left heartbroken following a divorce letter from his wife after the liquidation of all his properties to sponsor the trip abroad.

A Twitter user identified as Oluomo of Derby had taken to the platform to bemoan the unfair treatment faced by Nigerian men at the hands of their wives abroad.

In response to his tweet, a lady alleged that a family friend faced the unexpected after sponsoring his wife abroad with all he ever worked for.

According to the user, the wife filed for divorce the second she landed in the UK and his mother-in-law supported the separation due to his career choice as a mechanic.

“It’s really unfair.. a lady who got married to my friend’s brother early this yr, don’t kw what their agreement was (Husband & wife) but after the wedding, he sold most of his property so he & he wife could relocate to the UK, the whole money that was realized was kept in the wife’s account, & they agreed she travelled First & the husband will join her later..

Madam got there & filled for divorce, not getting the point, husband called mother in-law & all she had to say was ” if I knew u were a mechanic I wouldn’t allow my daughter marry u..!”
