Organ harvesting: Ekweremadu to be in detention till October 31st
Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu is likely to be in the custody of the UK authority over the alleged case of organ harvesting till October 31st.
According to TheCable, the Central Criminal Court in UK adjourned the case to October 31, 2022.
Recall that Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice were arrested in the United Kingdom and are currently facing charges bordering on conspiracy to arrange/facilitate the travel of another person in a bid to harvest his organ.
Ekweremadu’s wife was subsequently granted bail while the former lawmaker has been denied bail on repeated occasions.
Ekweremadu and his wife appeared in court today, Thursday, 4th August.
