“CR7’s Bitterness For Messi’s Success Is Unbearable” – Reactions As Ronaldo Openly Criticizes Messi’s Seventh Ballon d’Or

Mixed reactions have continued to trail the 2021 Ballon d’Or where Lionel Messi, an Argentine forward and a familiar face in the ceremony edged out Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, Italian midfielder Jorginho, and particularly his long time rival Cristiano Ronaldo to win his seventh Ballon d’Or.

Surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo, aka CR7, who was also eyeing the prestigious award broke silence on Wednesday, as he joined the waves of football fans to criticize the organizers of the award, alleging that Lionel Messi was favoured by the organizers, and did not deserve to win the award.

According to the arguments, Messi, who moved from Barcelona to Paris St Germain over the summer is currently having a bad run of form and had only won a tournament in the year compared to his counterparts who won a few and also scored many strategic goals than him.

The Manchester United forward questioned Lionel Messi’s Ballon d’Or award under a comment section of a post on Instagram saying, “And who does the PRIZE go to? To messi, who only won the copa del rey with Barcelona. 

“And hasn’t scored a goal against real madrid since cristiano left. disappeared in the big games of the season. won the COPA AMERICA that was supposed to be every 4 years like they do practically every year. 

“He didn’t score in the final or the semi-final. and he’s been having a weak season with PSG individually.”

Football lovers however have jumped on the discussion, as many posit that Ronaldo is only envious and bittered over Messi’s success.
