“It’s a win not just for me but the entire culture” — CKay writes, after fans belittled his song’s global achievement

Singer, CKay who went global with his song “Love Nwantiti” has taken to to Twitter to address hateful comments from fans.

Some fans had mocked him saying he’s not popular in the country and cannot be compared to stars like Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.

Recall that Ckay had recently received a BRIT Certified silver plaque for his hit song “Love Nwantiti”, after it grossed over 200,000 sales in the United Kingdom.

However, in an emotional tweet, Ckay clarified to fans that everything he has won so far, he won and did it for the culture.

The singer noted that his achievement should also be regarded as a big win for the Nigerian music industry as well.

In his words;

“I will never understand the hate honestly. if I win, it’s a win not just for me but the entire culture. you can either see it that way or cry. idgaf.”
