“They say I have no political experience, well we don’t need political experience anymore” – Actor, Yul Edochie
Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has responded to people who claim he doesn’t have enough political experience to pilot the affairs of the country if he eventually assume the position as the president of Nigeria come 2023.
Reacting to this, Yul Edochie opined that people look down on him due to the fact that he lacks political experience, but this according to him cannot be an impediment to his presidential ambition.
According to Yul, the idea of political experience is quite overrated and instead of looking for people with the so acclaimed political experience, he urged Nigerians to go for a young and vibrant youth that has not been contaminated by the system.
In his words:

The ones with political experience see where they have kept us.
From 1960 till now.
We don’t need political experience anymore.
We need one of us.
A compassionate, visionary youth with integrity who hasn’t been corrupted by the system.”
