COVID-19: Rivers State discharges one Coronavirus patient
The Rivers State Government has discharged another COVID-19 patient in the state. Rivers State has recorded only two Coronavirus cases.
The State Commissioner for Health, Professor Princewill Chike, had revealed that the second case of COVID-19 recorded was a sixty-two-year-old man who returned from the United Kingdom on March 21.
Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who confirmed the development during a press conference on Friday, said the patient has tested negative.
He said:
“The second case which was recorded and taken to the treatment centre has now tested negative and will be discharged this morning, thanks to God for His mercy.”
He, however commended health officials and security operatives for the success in containing the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
