COVID-19: Ondo State Governor announces result of his coronavirus test
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Thursday confirmed that he tested negative for coronavirus.
The Governor who had claimed not to be on self-isolation revealed his test result on his Twitter page on Thursday.
Recall that the governor had debunked claims that he was on self isolation following reports that he may have had contact with those who tested positive to the disease.
Akeredolu, who appeared at a press briefing Wednesday evening alongside the State Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie, said he would not have come out if he were on self-isolation.
However he tweeted, “Good morning sir. The result is negative. Congratulations your Excellency.
“I just received the above text from the Commissioner for Health regarding my #Covid19 test results. We give all glory to God. Wish everyone affected a speedy recovery.
“Our fight to protect the lives of our citizens continues. Huge thanks to all front line key workers fighting to protect our people.”
