“My name is Nathaniel Samuel” – Man caught with bomb in Kaduna church insists (video)
Nathaniel Samuel, the 30-year-old man arrested on Sunday February 1st with explosives at the Sabon Tasha branch of Living Faith Church aka Winners chapel owned by popular clergyman, Bishop David Oyedepo, says contrary to speculations on social media, he is indeed a Christian and that his name is Nathaniel and not Mohammed Nasiru Sani as being speculated online.
The suspect said this while being paraded before newsmen at the Kaduna state police command on Monday February 3rd.
An argument ensued on Twitter on Monday February 3rd as some Nigerians claim the name Nathaniel Samuel, is a pseudo name and no ”Christian would attempt to bomb a church.”
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, tweeted that anyone who believes that the suspect’s real name is Nathaniel Samuel would need to have his or her head examined.
However, while being paraded before newsmen, Nathaniel said he was even meant to be a pastor in the church as he had previously attended the Leadership and Training Institute of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Word of Faith Bible Institute.
“My name is Nathaniel Samuel. In fact I am supposed to be a pastor at the Living Faith Church because I did the Word of Faith Bible Institute.”
When asked if by chance his name is Mohammed, the suspect answered
“There is no way by accident that my name is Mohammed. My name is Nathaniel.”
