AFCON 2019: Nigeria defeats Cameroon 3 – 2

Today saw to the great clash between Nigeria and Cameroon in the AFCON 2019, which resulted in the Super Eagles beating their opponent 3 goals to 2.

Odion Ighalo scored an early goal for Nigeria in the 19th minutes, while Cameroon netted two goals back to back, in the 41st and 44th minutes respestively.

Bahoken scored for Cameroon in the 41st minutes, while Njie scored the second.

Ighalo made it a tie for Nigeria in the 63rd minute.. and Iwobi scored the third and final goal in the 66th minutes.

Nigerians have dominated the social space to express their joy and satisfaction over the good performance and of course the end victory, following several shades of jubilations that have sprouted from viewing centres accross the nation and beyond.

However, it’s necessary we understand that it’s not the end of the battle. The tournament is getting tougher just as we have rolled over to the quarter finals where we face either Egypt or South Africa.
