Transfer: Napoli consider Hojlund as Osimhen replacement

Napoli are exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund as they prepare for life after Victor Osimhen.
The Serie A club are also considering Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca as an alternative, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
With Osimhen expected to leave in the summer, Napoli are planning a major squad overhaul, targeting up to seven signings to bolster their squad for next season’s Champions League campaign.
The Nigerian forward’s departure could generate €75 million if his release clause is activated.
Hojlund, who joined Manchester United for €75 million from Atalanta in 2023, is reportedly a target.
Napoli believe the Danish forward could provide the attacking presence they need, though United are unlikely to let him go for less than €60 million.
However, the Red Devils may consider a sale to fund their own summer transfers.
If a deal for Hojlund proves too expensive, Football Italia suggests Napoli have identified Lucca as a viable alternative.
The Udinese striker is valued between €35 million and €40 million, and Napoli could significantly increase his salary to secure his signature.
