Alexander-Arnold feared to have played his last game for Liverpool after injury in PSG defeat

Liverpool fans are deeply concerned that Trent Alexander-Arnold may have played his final game for the club following a nasty injury in the Champions League defeat to PSG.

The 26-year-old full-back limped off in the second half, just under 20 minutes before full-time, after an awkward sliding tackle on PSG’s Vitinha.

Though he managed to stand, the discomfort was evident, and he was immediately substituted for Jarell Quansah.

With Alexander-Arnold’s contract set to expire this summer and no signs of a renewal, speculation has intensified that this could be his final appearance for Liverpool.

Reports suggest Real Madrid are keen to sign him before the Club World Cup in June, having had a £20m bid rejected in January.

If Liverpool fail to reach an agreement, he could leave on a free transfer this summer.

With Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk also yet to commit their futures, Liverpool could be facing a major squad overhaul in the coming months.
