Mainoo considering move abroad as Man United struggle to secure new deal

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is reportedly considering rejecting a new contract and exploring a move abroad.

The Guardian claims that despite United’s efforts to secure his future, negotiations have yet to yield an agreement.

The report also revealed that Mainoo’s camp is seeking a deal that reflects his growing influence in the squad.

Currently earning £20,000 per week, the 20-year-old is one of the club’s lowest-paid first-team players.

With two years left on his current deal, United remain optimistic about extending his stay but could be forced to sell if an agreement isn’t reached.

The club values the England international at £70 million as they try to deal with their financial constraints under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Mainoo, who has emerged as a key figure under Erik ten Hag and Amorim, is reportedly open to playing in a foreign league.

The highly-rated midfielder will be in contention ahead of United crucial Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday.
