“Not older than 24” – Outrage as 36-year-old man lists strict criteria for future wife
A 36-year-old Nigerian man has ignited a heated debate on social media after listing his criteria for a wife, emphatically expressing his choice for a partner younger than 24.
The man, identified as Joshua, took to the X platform to share his ideal partner’s attributes, causing widespread controversy.
Among his listed requirements, the condition that his prospective wife must be “not older than 24” particularly struck a nerve with many users.
His full post read:
“Hi, my name is Joshua.
Age: 36y/o
Status: Single
Genotype: AA
Blood group: O+
Choice of partner; -Must be a VIRGIN
-Not older than 24
-Must be doing well for herself financially
-Dark skin is preferred Money is not a problem for me.
Note: I don’t like FAT girls.”
The post immediately drew mixed reactions, with many criticizing the age gap and his rigid demands, calling them unrealistic and problematic.
Others, however, supported his right to personal preference, arguing that everyone is entitled to their standards in a partner.
A social media user @Charlesluminous wrote, “When a woman comes out to state her requirements like this. Ladies: go girl, you deserve the best, don’t settle for less. But when a man comes out to unapologetically state his own.
Ladies: he’s delusional, this is the reason he’s still single. Wow.”
Another user @CipsonNn added, “Imagine a 24 year old financially stable virgin woman waiting to be deflowered by a 36 years old OLD man 🙂↕️.”
