“You can’t afford me” – Iheme Nancy berates 40-year-old admirer

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iheme Nancy has stirred mixed reactions following her blunt response to a 40-year-old admirer.

The controversy began during an Instagram Q&A session when a follower expressed his interest, writing, “I will need u to be my woman I am a 40 yr old guy.”

In response, Iheme dismissed his proposal, saying, “You can’t afford me… Move to the next person.”

Her reply triggered backlash from some social media users, who criticized her for putting a “price tag” on herself. A user identified as Deacon Famous commented, “Coming from a lady in her 30s. A commodity and more.”

In a lengthy response, Iheme defended her stance, explaining that her comment was based on her observation of the man’s situation.

She wrote, “Listen, 40 years is a very sweet age for marriage, but don’t get me wrong when I said you can’t afford me. I know what I saw. You needed to see this 40-year-old person asking me to marry him. I don’t understand why I should settle for less… Holy Ghost fire, I will never settle for less!”

She further clarified that her refusal stemmed from red flags she observed, adding, “I said what I said… comments don’t get to me because I don’t care. 40 years with RED FLAGS everywhere. Oga, you can’t afford me, period.”
