Highly decorated French striker Karim Benzema, has denied rumours suggesting his retirement at the end of the current season.

In a recent statement, highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, Benzema described these speculations as “nonsense,” putting to rest any doubts about his continued involvement in professional football.

“Retirement? Those stories are not true. It’s just nonsense. I feel good, I can play for many more years.”

The 37-year-old, who moved to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League in 2023, has been the subject of much speculation regarding his professional career.

Following his transfer from Real Madrid, where he was a key player for over a decade, Benzema has continued to thrive in the Saudi Pro League despite his age.
