Man who got locked up for calling out Nigerian police recounts prison experience
A Nigerian man, Sea King who was locked up for criticising the police and some Nigerian politicians, narrates his experience in Kirikiri prison.
It would be recalled that the media personality was arrested by the police for insulting some notable Nigerian politicians and the police.
However, he was later granted bail of N500K after being in custody of the police.
He took to his Instagram page to recount his experience in Kirikiri prison.
According to him, he heard stories of fellow inmates who revealed that they had been locked up since 1999 for stealing generator and the other for buying the stolen generator.
He also noted that he observed that the prison was allegedly full of poor people who have no voice, which led him to wonder if there was another Kirikiri for the rich.
His words …
“Person dey inside kiriki, them say e still generator, him wey steal the generator, the person wey him sell the generator to, two of them dey inside Kirikiri. Poor Nigerians na him full Kirikiri. I ask myself when I enter Kirikiri, shey Kirikiri for the rich dey?”
