EPL: Ruben Amorim matches 22-year record but quickly enters Man United’s bad books

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United debut began with history but ended in frustration, following a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town.

Marcus Rashford’s goal just 81 seconds into the match not only gave United a dream start but also etched Amorim’s name alongside David Moyes in Premier League history.

The Portuguese coach became only the second permanent manager in the league to see his team score within the first two minutes of their debut game, Moyes achieved the feat first with Everton in 2002.

Despite the bright opening, United faltered much later in the game.The poor performance earned Amorim a disappointing United record.
