NASS set for Tinubu’s 2025 budget presentation
The National Assembly management, headed by Clerk Sani Magaji Tambawal, is finalizing logistical and technical arrangements for President Bola Tinubu‘s presentation of the 2025 Appropriation Bill.
The federal government has proposed a ₦47.9 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year, which includes ₦9.22 trillion in new borrowings.
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the proposal during its meeting on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
Ahead of the presentation, the chamber has undergone a comprehensive inspection to ensure all facilities are in optimal condition. Deputy Clerk Kamoru Ogunlana oversaw the testing of sound systems, microphones, and audio-visual equipment to guarantee seamless communication during the session.
Seating arrangements are being meticulously planned for Senators, House Representatives, and invited dignitaries, while security measures are being enhanced in collaboration with relevant agencies to provide a secure environment.

Deputy Clerk Ogunlana affirmed the team’s dedication, stating, “We are working tirelessly to ensure that the National Assembly is fully prepared to receive Mr. President and provide a conducive environment for this significant moment in our democratic process.”
