De Zerbi responds to speculation linking Pogba to Marseille
Paul Pogba’s potential return to football continues to spark interest after his four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months.
The ruling allows the French midfielder to play again by March 2025.
Among the clubs reportedly interested is Olympique de Marseille (OM), with former teammate Patrice Evra publicly pushing for a move to the Vélodrome.
The 31-year-old midfielder recently parted ways with Juventus by mutual consent, making him a free agent.
While Pogba expressed a willingness to take a pay cut to stay with the Serie A club, his departure has opened the door for discussions with other European clubs.
According to ESPN, Pogba remains keen to play in one of Europe’s top five leagues, fueling rumours of a potential move to Marseille.
Speaking to BeIn Sports after Marseille’s 1-0 win over RC Lens, OM coach Roberto De Zerbi addressed the speculation.
“I like strong players, but there is nothing for now,” the Italian tactician said.
