#OndoDecides2024: Interior minister, Tunji-Ojo casts his vote
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has cast his vote in the ongoing Ondo State governorship election.
A member of the All Progressives Congress-led federal government, Tunji-Ojo voted at Unit 17, Ward 3, Okeagbe Local Government Area.
He praised the peaceful nature of the election process and the strong voter turnout, noting that the staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) acted professionally.
“At exactly 11:34 AM, I cast my vote at unit 17: Ward 3, Okeagbe Local Government Area of Ondo State, in the #Ondo2024 Governorship Election. It’s been a peaceful election with officials displaying high level of professionalism coupled with an encouraging turnout of voters,” Tunji-Ojo said.
In a series of tweets on his X handle, the Minister of Interior urged the people of Ondo to vote for the APC candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
He stated that Aiyedatiwa’s victory would ensure the continuation of developmental programs in the state.
“We strongly believe that continuity in government will help us build a brighter future for all.
“Together, we’ll lead our state to prosperity. For a landslide victory at the poll, I earnestly believe that each home is a building block, as each community is our pillar of success.
“With this unalloyed support, I am confident of victory for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on November 16, 2024. And, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), I urge our youths to shun electoral violence, and ensure peaceful elections in our bid to birth a brighter future for our state,” he wrote on Thursday.
