AFCON 2025Q: Osimhen returns as Nigeria name 23-man squad to face Benin, Rwanda
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have named 23-man squad, including Victor Osimhen, ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Augustine Eguavoen’s men will battle Benin Republic and Rwanda for a spot in the 2025 tournament.
The Super Eagles camp opens on Monday in Abidjan, in preparation for their first match against Benin.
They will take on the Cheetahs at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, next week Thursday.
Their second game will be against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Monday, November 18.
The Super Eagles need just one point from the clash with Benin Republic to guarantee a place at AFCON 2025.
The 2023 AFCON finalists lead Group D with 10 points from four matches, four points clear of closest rivals Benin.
