Man discovers neighbor secretly diverted water he pumped.

In his post, he explained that he had been using his generator to pump water into his tank over the past few days due to a power outage.

However, he was stunned to find that one of his neighbors had found a way to bypass the water flow, diverting it to her tank and selling it to others to make money.

In his post, he expressed his frustration: “We haven’t had electricity in three days. I saved my generator for times like this, so I could pump water for myself and my co-tenants. I’ve always done this without asking anyone for a dime.”

“Yesterday, I found out that as soon as I switched on the generator, a tenant diverted the water to her tank and started selling it to neighbors.”

“Meanwhile, the main apartment that was supposed to receive the water didn’t get any. I was using petrol to pump water, and someone else is profiting off it. Why are people so selfish and greedy?”

As the post circulated online, concerned users flooded the comment section to share similar experiences of neighbors taking advantage.

See some reactions below:

@IsoloShoemaker: “I was once like you until I decided to stop and see if someone will take it up. Three tenants came to ask me why haven’t I pumped. You already know my reaction to that.”

@tallmanfromkd: “Same thing a woman packed into her house. No lights and now borehole so I now brought out pipe and I open it sometimes for her to get water I noticed any time my mom wants to use water there will be no water for my mum not until someone told me mum that the woman de sell water.”

@ojaoyingbo: “I love the way you asked why people are selfish and greedy and not the usual Nigerians are greedy cliché. There is nothing peculiar about Nigerians. We are just behaving in the same way any other countries will behave if saddled with the same challenges we have.”

@Sen_Adedotun: “Most Nigerians are wicked, selfish and greedy than some of our politicians. The only reason they are not exhibiting those traits is because they don’t have the means.”

@omo_ola_eluku: “You think Nigerians are normal? We are the reflection of the kind of ppl that govern us. Give those criticizing Tinubu chance to make a difference in their neighborhood you will see how worst we are when given opportunity 😏.”
