UCL: Odegaard returns, but Rice missing as Arsenal prepare for Inter clash
Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard is back in training ahead of the Gunners’ Champions League showdown with Inter Milan at the San Siro.
Ødegaard has been sidelined since September after sustaining an ankle injury during international duty with Norway.
His absence has coincided with Arsenal dropping points in the Premier League.
The Norwegian midfielder’s return is expected to bring much-needed creativity to the squad, and his presence could be vital in facing Inter’s defense.
However, Arsenal’s preparations have been complicated by the unexpected absence of Declan Rice from the traveling squad.
Rice, who played the full match in Arsenal’s recent 1-0 Premier League loss to Newcastle, has not joined the team in Milan.
The reason for his absence remains unclear, but Arteta is expected to address the situation in a pre-match press conference.
