Sanwo-Olu’s aide dies after brief illness

Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, under governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu’s administration has passed away.

This information was revealed in a statement issued by the Office of the Lagos State Head of Service on Wednesday.

It also expressed condolences from the Office of the Head of Service, reflecting the profound impact Mr. Lekki had on the education sector and the many lives he touched through his work.

The statement read, “With the total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, the Head of Service announces the sudden demise of Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Scholarship Board, which occurred in the early hours of today, 30th October, 2024, after a brief illness.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace. ”Funeral arrangements will be announced later,” the statement said.

The news of his passing has been met with sorrow and condolences from colleagues, students, and the wider community, who recognized his commitment to enhancing educational access and equity in the state.
