Davido’s father, Dr. Deji Adeleke reveals his company generates 15% of Nigeria’s electricity
Dr. Deji Adeleke, father of renowned Nigerian singer, Davido, has announced that his company generates about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity.
This revelation was made during a recent conference where the Nigerian billionaire, discussed his investments in the nation’s power sector, including his thermal power plant, which is set to become fully operational in January 2025.
In his statement, Dr. Deji Adeleke said, “In Nigeria, I’m in the electricity business. I own power plants, and I currently generate about 15% of the country’s energy needs.”
He also shared that Chinese engineering companies are involved in the construction of his new power plant, which, upon completion, will be Nigeria’s largest thermal plant, boasting a capacity of 1,250 megawatts. “By the grace of God, it will be operational by January,” he added.
