‘Real Madrid will move on after my exit, just like Ronaldo, Ramos’ – Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos has spoken candidly about his departure from Real Madrid, insisting the club will continue to thrive without him.

He said this, highlighting that the club had also moved on after the exits of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos.

Recall the German midfielder made the decision to retire following Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Despite speculation of a possible return, the 34-year-old remains firm in his decision, enjoying his time away from the game.

“It doesn’t do any good to talk about my exit,” Kroos said on the Einfach Mal Luppen podcast.

“Real Madrid adapted when Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos left. They always adapt and keep winning.”

Kroos, who will attend Real Madrid’s upcoming home game against Villarreal, emphasized that while he values his time at the club, he is focused on the future.

He has no plans to return to playing or coaching for now but is planning to open a youth academy in Madrid in 2025.
