“It’s embarrassing” – Redknapp slams Ten Hag after Spurs defeat
Former Tottenham Hotspur star Jamie Redknapp has criticized Manchester United and their manager Erik ten Hag.
Redknapp described the team’s current state as “disgusting” and “embarrassing,” after their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Premier League.
The former player is doubtful of Ten Hag’s ability to turn things around at Old Trafford.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said, “Ten Hag has spent £616 million in two years, and they’re going backwards. It’s embarrassing for a club of this stature to perform like that.”
He further added that Ten Hag can no longer make excuses, saying, “He has his players, his back four, and the responsibility lies with him now. They’re at rock bottom.”
Recall Tottenham took an early lead with Brennan Johnson’s goal in the opening three minutes of the Sunday game.
Things worsened for United when captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off before halftime.
Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke added to Spurs’ tally, sealing a dominant win for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
